Basically, Lorex is trying to sell you the device, something to get you to buy it when its in your hands they're done supportingit or helping you. Horrible device and complete lack of support online for firmware updates. It beeps 5x and shows only 4 of the 16 channels. Well, OK, maybe I can switch out the camera's because I bought a 16 camera kit but only used 8, then less than a year after that startedhappening the whole DVR just died. Search for the same problem and you will see why Lorex senors and hardware/filters they use completely die out after only a few months of use. Entire areas covering 60-80% of the view-able space the camera filmed were completely imperceptible because the camera only showed this bright purple color, kind of like if you took a marker and painted over the image,completely purple out. Have had the device for less than 2 years andstarting at about 6 months or so all the camera's started showing purple blotches. I literally spend my entire evenings coming home from work to sit in front of a phone and monitor waiting for someone to answer, and when they do, they can't even help me or give me the solution!!!!!!!
